Dr Mark Lee MBBS FRACS (Plastic Surgery) is a fully trained Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with a major interest in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body.

Mark grew up in Perth and attended Medical School at the University of Western Australia achieving distinctions and prizes in both medicine and surgery. Internship, residency and basic surgical training were undertaken at Royal Perth Hospital followed by 5 years of plastic surgery training. After completing his plastic surgery training requirements Mark spent 12 months in an advanced fellowship position in Oxford (United Kingdom), which included teaching undergraduates at Trinity College, University of Oxford.

Back in Perth in private practice since 2002, Mark also holds the Head of Plastic Surgery position at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital with admitting rights and accreditation at Royal Perth, Princess Margaret and Fremantle Hospitals.

Private rooms are located in the McCourt Street Medical Centre, St John of God Hospital, Subiaco.  Private operating is done at St John of God Subiaco and Cambridge Day Surgery.

Mark is married with three children and prides himself on being friendly and approachable with his patients and at the same time setting a very high standard of care.

Mark believes strongly in:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest advances in Plastic Surgery
  • Teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons through his public hospital appointment 
  • Research to further improve patient outcomes
  • And “giving back” – using the skills he has acquired through his extensive training to aid those without access to plastic surgeons. To achieve this Mark has contributed to surgical aid missions to the Philippines in 2000, Tonga in 2004 and Tanzania in 2006.  More recently Mark headed back to Tanzania in 2009.  Click here to read a report about the Tanzania mission.
