Wrinkle Relaxers
Many facial wrinkles occur when we use our facial muscles to make repeated facial expressions. Wrinkle relaxers can be used to relax specific facial muscles that cause expression lines. Once the muscles are relaxed you cannot contract them. The lines gradually smooth and new lines are prevented from forming.

The active ingredient in wrinkle relaxers is botulinum toxin type A. Botulinum toxin is a purified protein manufactured in pharmaceutical laboratories.  It is administered by a few tiny injections under the skin.  The entire process only takes a few minutes, depending upon the number of areas being injected.

The effect of wrinkle relaxers can last for up to 3 months before lines slowly begin to return.

Dermal Fillers
Natural substances such as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid that provide the skin with structure and volume decrease with age. This combined with environmental factors such as exposure to sunlight, smoking and stress all contributes to how our skin ages.

A dermal filler is a smooth injectable gel that is made from a natural complex sugar called Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is found naturally within the tissues of living cells, including human skin. Hyaluronic Acid assists in skin hydration by attracting and holding water and also combines with collagen and elastin to provide skin structure and elasticity.

Unlike wrinkle relaxing injections that treat dynamic wrinkles by relaxing the muscles, dermal fillers are placed below the skin’s surface to literally “fill in” or “plump up” the static facial wrinkles and folds that are present at rest. It diminishes the depth of wrinkles and creates a natural and more refreshed facial appearance and lasts from six to nine months. 

A new breakthrough in dermal fillers has a local anaesthetic built into the dermal filler itself, making the experience more comfortable for patients.  It can be injected into all areas that dermal fillers are usually used, enhancing or restoring volume. 

An innovative new product made of a pure, crystal clear gel containing hyaluronic acid is available to treat the decolletage, neck and hands.  When injected just under the skin it firms and tones to create a healthy, youthful appearance that lasts for at least six months.

Non Surgical Facial Contouring
Safe, next generation fillers can be used for non permanent facial contouring. The effect usually lasts for 12 to 18 months.

Made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, the filler is injected into the skin and not only fills in wrinkles, but provides facial volume for a soft and natural look that lasts.

Though your body will absorb the gel over time, collagen will start to grow and infiltrate the area in the meantime, thus replacing the gel with your own collagen. The filler continues to stimulate the body to produce new collagen until the microspheres are also safely and naturally absorbed into your body.
