| A new adjustable silicone gel breast implant called “Spectra” was recently launched in Australia by Mentor, giving greater flexibility in both breast augmentation and breast reconstruction surgeries. Unlike a normal silicone gel breast implant, the Spectra can be adjusted by up to 100ml during surgery to correct problems with asymmetry. On 30 July 2008 Dr Mark Lee was the first doctor in Australia to use a Spectra implant with a very satisfactory result. |
