Liposuction
underline

Liposuction can be effective at reducing resistant pockets of fat that can’t be shifted with diet and exercise.

It is not a weight loss technique. Most commonly these pockets are on the inner thighs and hips in women and "love handles" and abdomen in men.

I use ultrasound energy to break up the fat then aspirate it with fine cannulas placed through very small incisions. Scars are minimal.

Patients need to wear compression garments after liposuction to reduce swelling and avoid loose skin. It is therefore often best to have this procedure performed in the cooler months of the year.

Liposuction is often combined with other contouring procedures such as abdominoplasty, breast reduction and gynaecomastia surgery.

Procedures Available:

  • Suction Assisted Liposuction
  • Ultrasonic Liposuction
  • Lipoplasty
  • Liposculpture
  • Fat Transfer
  • Fat Grafting

We often receive enquiries from patients requesting injection lipolysis or mesotherapy. It is something that Mark has always considered to be based on dubious scientific evidence and can be quite dangerous. The French Government has now banned the use of lipolysis and mesotherapy.
