We’ve all seen people who age well, others look tired and "angry". This is due to changes in the deep ligaments and muscles of the face, not skin wrinkles. In the 40’s and 50’s the face can lose its gentle curved jaw line and become squarer. This is due to early jowl formation and descent of the mid face fat pad. This cannot be rejuvenated by fillers, Botox or threads.
My philosophy is to change the deeper structure to give a lasting improvement and avoid an operated look. My happiest patients are told “you’ve lost weight”, “you’re looking happier” not “you’ve had a facelift”. Although you will continue to age, many of the changes to the deeper structures will be lasting.
I use keyhole surgery and short scar techniques wherever possible.
