For our breast augmentation patients, we understand that the ideal breast aesthetic is a personal choice. Dr Mark Lee will take the time to discuss your individual goals and existing body shape. Based on your desired outcome and Dr Mark Lee’s extensive experience, you will receive a tailored recommendation for implant type, shape and incision location.

Most of our breast enlargement patients are well educated as to the various options available, but the team are here to guide you through the approach that’s best suited to you, with ongoing care throughout the entire journey – from consultation to recovery.

Our philosophy is to:

  • Provide safe surgery and minimise long term problems
  • Tailor breast implant size to produce breasts in harmony with height and hip size
  • Allow patients to “try on” different breast implant sizes
  • Avoid infection and prominent scarring at all costs
  • Day surgery without drains
  • Excellent post-operation pain control
  • Allow early return to work and exercise

It is helpful to come to your breast enlargement consultation with some idea of the size you would like to be. One helpful hint is to find a before and after photo of a woman with similar body shape and breast size.

The following breast enlargement procedures are available:

  • Breast Augmentation
  • Breast Implants
  • Augmentation Mastopexy
  • Transaxillary Breast Augmentation
  • Periareolar Breast Augmentation
  • Tuberous Breast Reconstruction
  • Poland’s Syndrome Reconstruction
  • Internal Bra Procedure

We use Mentor implants. View our Patient Care & Resources page to learn more.

Many women experience a loss of breast firmness and elasticity as a result of breastfeeding or aging. This can cause the breast shape to become longer, reducing breast fullness and resulting in an overall loss of cleavage.

The following breast lift procedures are available:

  • Mastopexy
  • Periareolar Mastopexy
  • Augmentation Mastopexy
  • Vertical Scar Mastopexy

At your initial consultation, we will discuss the ideal option for your body and desired outcomes.

Reduction of large breasts can be a life changing operation. Women that undergo a breast reduction procedure experience reduced back ache and neck pain, find exercising more comfortable and can improved breast symmetry and shape. Traditional breast reduction techniques have often resulted in flat, wider breasts with a highly visible scarring.

Our technique involves reducing scar size wherever possible, and enhancing breast position and proportion. We aim to achieve a breast size and shape that is balanced and harmonious with a woman’s height and body shape.

The following breast reduction procedures are available:

  • Short Scar Breast Reduction
  • Periareolar Breast Reduction
  • Anchor Scar Breast Reduction
  • Vertical Scar Breast Reduction
  • Superomedial Pedicle Breast Reduction
  • Mastopexy

For men, abnormal breast formation, a condition known as gynaecomastia, can be a result of a number of factors, such as hormone imbalance or weight gain. We use a combination of ultrasonic liposuction, short scar direct excision and (if needed) skin reduction reduce the breast size.

Male breast reduction procedures available:

  • Ultrasonic liposuction
  • Subcutaneous Mastectomy
  • Male Breast Reduction

Women may decide to have their breast implants removed (undergo an explant procedure) for a number of different reasons. These may include;

  • Implant rupture
  • Capsular contraction
  • Implant malposition
  • Concern regarding Breast Implant Illness (BII)
  • BIA-ALCL

In all of these cases it is important to remove the implant and all the surrounding capsule. Removal of the implant alone is straight forward, however if there are concerns regarding silicone leakage, or biofilm formation and its possible effect on the rest of the body, it is important to remove all the surrounding scar tissue. This is a considerably more technically difficult procedure that takes almost twice the time required to insert an implant in the first place. The capsule should then be sent for histopathological examination and microbiological culture.

Many women may elect to have tightening procedure (mastopexy or breast lift) at the time if the implant is not replaced following the explant procedure. All internal sutures used are fully disposable. If implant removal was performed for BII, Dr Lee prefers to wait for health to improve for at least 6 months before other procedures such as Autologous Fat Grafting are considered for breast enlargement.
